Who are we, and why are we so Serious?

Zia, the company founder is a Serious Scot who grew up in Glasgow. As a youth, he was often seen enviously eyeing up the juicy bangers which his pals were eating, and wondering desperately where he could get a pork-free sausage which was tasty, halal and full of good things.

Zia embarked on a country wide search, which lasted 30 years but couldn’t find a single sausage which fit all his requirements: classic British varieties, fresh ingredients, high meat content (with real meat cuts!), ethically farmed British meat, halal, made locally and…. seriously tasty.

After failing in his 3 decade search, Zia got serious and took up halal sausage production himself. Using only the finest quality beef, lamb and chicken from caring local British farms, he came up with seriously tasty, ethical and premium halal sausages. Sausages which anyone can be confident to eat.

Zia is so serious about his sausages, that he gave up his day job and started to produce great British halal bangers for his friends and family. To meet growing demand, the Serious Sausage Company now partners with local British champion sausage makers and brings the very best of traditional British sausages to all.
